Somewhere Together Back to town

Somewhere Together · Town Post

October 9, 2026 · A soundtrack for every stop

Choose World day cycle from the record player—or Menu → Settings → Soundtrack—to hear music chosen for each destination across its 24-minute day. Seoul, Okinawa and Giza bring traditional instruments into gentle pop and jazz arrangements; Akihabara keeps a lighter electric-town beat, and Haunted Mansion has a playful Halloween mood.

At Wonder Coast, ride categories have their own music. Approach the parade to hear its theme, then wander away or leave a ride to return to the park's general songs. The fun keeps moving.

Lantern Town keeps seven familiar favorites in its daily rotation. You can still choose an individual song or a shuffled playlist, and Mute stays personal.

October 9, 2026 · A warmer welcome

Our little Tuft Cat brings orange-and-cream warmth to the app icon and sharing cards. Same friends, a new face at the door.

On phones and tablets, Steady 30 FPS and Adapt scene sharpness now start on unless you've already saved a choice; Lighter graphics starts off. You can change them in Settings. Desktop defaults stay the same.

October 9, 2026 · More room to play

Give your travels more space with Menu → Settings → Play full screen where your browser supports it. Choose Exit full screen to bring the browser controls back.

For next time, choose Add to Home Screen in the same section. Your browser can install the game or show you how. On iPhone, open the page in Safari, choose Share → Add to Home Screen, and keep Open as Web App on if shown. Launch the new icon to play without the browser’s address bar; your phone may still show its own status and navigation controls.

These choices are also in Homes → Display preferences and the settings of the separate Dance and Taiko game pages. Keep your world’s invitation link to rejoin: the app icon opens the welcome screen. Multiplayer still needs an internet connection. A little more world in your pocket.

October 8, 2026 · A little sweetness in Lantern Café

Lantern Café is open in Lantern Town, with honey-wood furnishings, soft lights and a big leafy tree surrounded by seats. Settle into the lounge, share a table or watch the town from a window perch.

Mika serves coffee and matcha, while Emi has seventeen desserts—from melon pan and taiyaki to fluffy pancakes and macarons. Choose from picture menus, then carry your complimentary order to a table. Friends can pick up and move treats, too. Café orders clear after one town day (24 minutes); clear a carried order sooner whenever you like.

Want something sweet at home? All seventeen desserts are in Customize → Furnish → Add furniture. Search dessert and place one on a table, counter or shelf. These home decorations stay with your saved room. No crumbs to sweep.

October 8, 2026 · Smoother travels

Akihabara and Wonder Coast spend less time preparing characters and drawing distant scenery while you explore. Phones also carry less detail in busy scenes.

Two new optional choices are in Menu → Settings:

Both choices start off and are remembered when you turn them on. Destination names are shorter in the travel menu and map, too. Same places, fewer words on the postcard.

October 8, 2026 · New views for rhythm nights

Dance Dance Together and Taiko Together have refreshed cover art and song scenes. Dance brings more varied viewpoints and performers that fit each song; Taiko's covers now follow the characters you meet in the scenes. Find both games at GiGO in Akihabara and take another look while you play.

October 8, 2026 · Fresh songs, new stories

Dance Dance Together and Taiko Together now each have ten songs and five difficulty levels, with new cover art and changing scenes. Ube and Matcha are still on the menu, alongside a fresh selection for each game.

Lyrics include English-letter readings and English meanings for non-English passages. Song previews jump into the selected musical moment, and Dance's song picker works with the left and right arrow keys.

On phones, the larger controls sit at the bottom with lyrics just above them. Taiko puts DON before KA: use D / J for DON and F / K for KA. Hits respond immediately, and the results screen now follows the song's art. The GiGO machines also have textured drumheads and softer shadows.

Find both games at GiGO in Akihabara. Bring a friend, choose a song, and take another turn.

October 7, 2026 · Tea above the clouds

At the Great Wall, complete the stamp encounters at Towers 6, 7 and 8 to bring home the Ridge Tea Corner: a tea table, travel kettle, two-cup tray and framed ridge print. Friends can contribute different towers, and every homeowner in that world can use the unlocked pieces.

Menu → Collection now keeps the furniture list beside the selected piece on wider screens. Filters take less room, collected pieces carry a small badge, and locked pieces give a clearer clue about where to earn them.

Wonder Coast also draws fewer park visitors at once to help busy areas feel smoother. We’re continuing to check how it feels on real devices.

October 7, 2026 · Welcome to Lantern Town

Make yourself at home. Lantern Town has new streets, shops, fountain plazas and a canal to explore together. Find an open house plot, claim your corner and invite friends over. The town's shared artwork and creations come along for the move.

A house with room to wander

Walk between connected rooms, run up the stairs and cross the upstairs catwalk to look down into the living room. There’s another room across the bridge—and a sliding pole for the quick trip down. Windows follow the town outside, with changing skies and light.

The decor workshop offers visual choices for finishes, ceiling lights and house styles, with changes saved as you work. Done returns you to play. Nearby interaction hints tell you what E will do, and let you switch when more than one action is available. Getting up from a chair keeps you nearby, and stair railings keep your feet on the steps.

A weekend together

New free worlds stay open for 48 hours. You can start a home as a guest; Keep access to your home lets you link it to an account and find that same home across devices. Linking keeps its ownership and decoration; it does not extend the world’s play time.

Take the games on the road

Combat and Golf are available in all nine exploration destinations: Wonder Coast, Akihabara, Okinawa, Paris, Venice, Seoul, Giza, Great Wall and Thailand. Lantern Town stays a place for homes and everyday exploring, while Haunted Mansion keeps its own game. Bring your clubs—or your laser—and try a new backdrop.

October 6, 2026 · A new look for rhythm nights

Head to Akihabara → GiGO 1F for refreshed Dance Dance Together and Taiko Together. Illustrated song records turn as previews play, song changes glide into place, and five stars make difficulty easier to choose. Taiko now offers five rhythm levels, with a clearer screen while you drum.

Dance brings larger two-line karaoke, English-letter readings for non-English words, gently moving song scenes and colorful result cards. Keep the beat—and enjoy the view.

October 4, 2026 · A little more get-up-and-go

Every character now runs 3.2× their walking speed. On phones, a dedicated Look control makes it easier to see around your character. Vehicles keep a wider view when boarding or approaching world edges, tilt with slopes, and offer a camera Follow option. The Giant Visitor's compass puts direction and distance together.

On a keyboard, press P for Photo Mode, V for Vehicles, or Shift+P for a quick photo. During combat, V keeps its weapon-switching job.

October 4, 2026 · Friends, photos and flying saucers

Use Follow view in the friend controls to see the world through a friend's camera and follow their travels. Stop following or Escape brings you back to your own view.

Photo Mode shows a small status beneath your name so friends know you're composing a shot. Downloads get unique filenames, and closing an unsaved photo offers a reminder—including the review's top-right close button.

At Purikura, friends join ready, the host can finish decorating, and a clear invitation appears when someone opens the room. One shared room keeps everyone together.

The UFO Catcher has a more forgiving claw and an adjustable close view. Its Down command also waits for an earlier move to finish registering. Out in the world, UFOs are more spread out and their beams have a wider reach. Keep looking up.

October 4, 2026 · Smoother days out

Akihabara uses lighter billboard textures on phones, Wonder Coast keeps its crowd animation memory bounded, and scenery across other destinations uses less geometry memory. Traveling also releases old scenes more completely. These changes reduce memory pressure; device-specific stability is still being checked.

Cotton gets a matte finish with a hint of fur texture. Soft looks good on a tuft cat.

October 4, 2026 · More room for adventure

Wonder Coast now has 28 attractions, with overlapping rides combined or retired to give the remaining courses more room. Racing Falls has a longer four-lane journey and real competition: tuck for speed, recover your energy, and chase a place at the splash finish. Timed rides give you at least a minute aboard, and you can still leave whenever you like.

Water rides have wider passages, more splashes and better follow views. Comet Tower reaches three times higher, Lantern Swings opens up the sky, and the carousel's smaller horses bob beneath their riders at a gentler pace. Round rafts seat friends around the rim, with lower seat backs elsewhere to keep characters in view.

October 4, 2026 · Take the controls

Balance against moving waves at Surf Porch, drive Harbor Bumper Cars with the usual movement controls, and hold to spin Teacup Garden. Cloud Garden Flyers rises and falls on its own. Sliders have stepped aside.

Starcatcher Patrol adds a crosshair, visible lasers, drifting vehicles and changing comet, planet, shield and meteor encounters. Ride buttons are consistent, SPACE starts a waiting ride, and shortcut labels sit neatly inside their borders. No ticking time-left readout—enjoy the view.

October 4, 2026 · A parade worth hopping onto

Look for costumed performers aboard and beside the colorful parade floats. Land on a deck, ride along, then walk or jump off. Decorations fade when they block your camera. Parade music is paused so the background music has room to breathe.

October 4, 2026 · Dance and drum at GiGO

Visit Akihabara → GiGO 1F for Dance Dance Together and Taiko Together. Choose from five songs, pick your own difficulty, and play beside a friend—or watch their performance.

Taiko has two drums with distinct DON and KA sounds, plus song-specific charts for the full recordings. Both games offer timing controls to help the beat meet your taps. Use the back arrow to return to song selection, then head back to GiGO when you’re ready to explore.

October 4, 2026 · A new sound for your stroll

Listen for softer footsteps on stone, wood and grass, refreshed wind and birds, flowing water, drizzle, rain and hail. Grass footsteps leave a little more quiet between contacts. Your saved volume mix stays the same.

October 4, 2026 · Gundam visits Akihabara

An 18-meter Gundam exhibit stands beside GiGO, with a slow head-and-arm demonstration. Its model attribution is available in Art credits. This installation belongs to our imagined Akihabara.

Hosts can also choose Gundam in Menu → World Surprises → Regional giant.

October 4, 2026 · Step into Wonder Coast

Open Menu → Destinations → Wonder Coast · Theme & Water Parks. Follow the winding paths through themed streets, castles, monuments and busy festival spaces. Look for parades, marching performers, water shows and colorful lights after dark.

The rides have their own vehicles and scenery, from enclosed Ferris wheel cabins to a taller Summit Launch Coaster and longer water journeys. Board with friends, tap Depart, and watch the three-count before the ride begins. The camera follows the ride; move it yourself whenever you like, then tap Follow to return to the ride view. Leaving a ride brings your character back upright.

Want to take the wheel? The Park Go-Kart is free and seats one. Find it under Menu → Vehicles → Land.

October 3, 2026 · Meet the repulsor fleet

Find two new sky rides in Menu → Vehicles:

Both turn more easily while moving. Double-tap Space for the Speeder’s corkscrew or the Pod Racer’s swoop; holding Space still raises your ride. Their original engine sounds and exhaust grow stronger as you move and use Run.

The Jet Pack now has a slim twin-turbine design. Flying Car and Stealth Jet also have warm engine burns that respond to flight and special actions. Flying Car is free; Pod Racer and Stealth Jet require active Premium access for the world creator.

October 3, 2026 · Take a friend dune riding

The free Desert dune buggy seats two, throws sand from its tires and travels twice as fast on dry sand. Head to Giza to climb the pyramids together. Find it in Menu → Vehicles → Land.

October 3, 2026 · Giants with a softer side

Our 27 giant visitors have cuter faces, richer surface detail and more distinctive shapes. Organic legs now bend smoothly into their bodies, with feet shaped for each creature.

Meet the Forest Elephant in Thailand, Jade Cloud Dragon at the Great Wall and Dune Sphinx in Giza. France welcomes the Seine Otter and Chestnut Squirrel, while Tengu, Oni and Mechanical Ryū have refreshed regional designs.

Jade Cloud Dragon and Mechanical Ryū now glide through the sky with long, winding bodies and little tucked claws. Lagoon Dragon takes flight too. You can still fly onto their heads, shoulders and backs to land—just look up first.

Hosts can choose a visitor in Menu → World Surprises → Regional giant. Haunted Mansion keeps its no-giant rule.

October 3, 2026 · A world with a little more life

Water catches the changing sky, clouds have softer depth, and clear nights reveal a richer galaxy. Trees and foliage sway with the weather; Gentle motion keeps the new surface and plant animation still.

Okinawa has curved palm fronds, softer leafy trees and shrubs, and more varied grass. Across the authored destinations, walls, roofs, paving and timber now show subtle surface detail. Take the scenic route—and look up once in a while.

Tree trunks and rocks now block movement, while leaves, bushes and grass remain easy to pass through.

October 3, 2026 · A better ride together

Newly created worlds now use a faster movement connection for shared rides. Boosted driving and held Tandem wheelies stay steadier, while older worlds keep working with their existing connection.

Land vehicles can climb small obstacles with clearance suited to the vehicle. Low edges along the Great Wall path are easier to drive back onto. When the driver chooses Dismount, everyone gets off together; passengers can still leave on their own.

Human riders now reach the handles, steering wheels and controls on more vehicles, with better-fitting Tandem pedals. The Premium Golf Cart is narrower, with open sides and a connected bench for each row. Premium rides still require active access for the world creator.

October 3, 2026 · Choose your frame rate

The game now aims for up to 60 FPS by default. Prefer your display’s higher refresh rate? Turn on Menu → Settings → Display → High frame rate. Your choice is saved in this browser.

October 3, 2026 · Give your ride a little flair

Every driveable ride now has its own Space action. Open Menu → Vehicles and read your ride’s description for its move:

Existing wheelies, drifting, Tank firing and Jet Ski wave riding remain. Created vehicles get matching ground, water or air motions too. Use A on a gamepad or the touch action button; Gentle motion keeps stunts calmer.

The Premium Floating Donut Boat now spins once every eight seconds while you keep steering. A warm lamp under its parasol switches on automatically at night. Dinner and a little twirl.

Premium rides require active access for the world creator; friends can still board open passenger places.

October 3, 2026 · A steadier trip together

Shared rides handle queued movement updates more smoothly, and passenger names follow their displayed seats. Open Menu → Settings → Show performance & connection stats for optional FPS, ping and connection details, with a report you can copy when sharing a problem.

October 3, 2026 · Your soundtrack stays nearby

Complete music recordings now stay in your browser’s cache across visits. The next songs warm up first, helping the soundtrack return without downloading everything again. Playback keeps its usual volume, shared-music and pause controls. Opening the game and joining worlds still need a connection.

October 2, 2026 · Find your friends across worlds

The friends indicator now counts everyone active in your shared room, even when they’re exploring another world. Open it to see their names and locations, then choose Go nearby to join them. The map shows friends in your current world.

For the Haunted Mansion, Join at entrance takes you to the front door. Friends travelling by train can be met at their arrival station.

October 2, 2026 · Temple courts and tropical streets

Open Menu → Destinations → Thailand · Bangkok and Phuket for Bangkok’s temple courts, layered skyline and elevated railway, then head south to colorful Phuket Old Town, Patong’s beach streets, forest paths, a limestone bay and the cape.

Wat Arun now has halls, cloisters and riverside pavilions around its five towers. Across the river, explore Wat Pho, the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew. The map has sixteen places with directions, shareable links and notes about their real-world inspiration. These are playful, compressed interpretations of selected exteriors; sacred interiors are left private. Plenty more roofs to peek over.

October 2, 2026 · Ridges, pyramids and little discoveries

Open Menu → Destinations → Great Wall, China for a 2.5 km walk through twenty towers, inspired by Mutianyu. Follow the marked entrances and returns through wooded hills. At the western game turnaround, the visible wall continues along the ridge; the map explains where the playable walk ends and the real wall carries on.

Collect twenty permanent Mandarin stamps and visit six rotating practice stops. Learn with Simplified Chinese, pinyin and meanings across eight free beginner units and forty lessons. Your stamps and progress stay with you after rejoining. Some pronunciation clips are being reviewed; text practice stays available.

In Giza Plateau, Egypt, explore grounded pyramids, upper galleries, deep chambers and imagined painted halls. Meet more visitors, cats and camels, see the sculpted Sphinx, and find cute resting mummies wearing golden masks. The coffins have company now.

October 1, 2026 · A mansion full of mischief

Open Menu → Destinations → Haunted Mansion and start your climb from the basement to the rooftop. Explore crooked, cozy rooms with their own character: laundry, kitchen, bathroom, nursery, library, music room and more. Three staircase seals open the way upward; reach the roof to watch friends still exploring.

Every one of the 28 interior spaces has an optional activity, from folding laundry and turning boiler valves to matching portraits, tracing garden paths and answering a piano phrase. Choices and progress stay visible in the puzzle panel, with little room animations and matching sounds when things click into place.

Cute ghosts drift out of walls and floors, with a soft approaching sound and time to run. Getting caught sends you to the entrance, keeping solved clues and room puzzles safe.

For a friendly chase, the world host can turn Tag on. The secret chaser presses Tag near a friend to send them back to the entrance, and can pass the role to someone else. Your staircase clues still count.

September 30, 2026 · A quicker ride and a fresh fleet

Vehicles now travel 1.5× faster, including scenic tours. The Jinrikisha has a cozy two-person seat and slimmer wheels; the Tank is back to its original proportions with one rider; and the Carriage fits two close friends inside a little glass-paned dome.

Pick your boat

Open Menu → Vehicles → Water near a shore:

Golf Cart, Hot-air Balloon and Swan Boat are now Premium too. The vehicle picker puts free rides first, then Premium rides, with each group in alphabetical order. Premium rides require active access for the world creator; friends can still board open passenger places.

Easier stamp stops

Akihabara and Seoul's stamp attendants now stand in front of their little shops, with clearer signs and a compact STAMP prompt. Walk up and press E to open the encounter. Scenic tours also have clearer NEXT labels when you are ready for another stop.

September 29, 2026 · Listen and build the same reply

Japanese voice hints in Stamp Book and Learn now match the reply pieces, including “the blue one, please.” Both speaker buttons use the corrected recordings, so you can listen at your preferred pace and build the reply you hear.

September 29, 2026 · A smoother ride together

Shared rides now handle delayed connection updates without repeatedly pulling the driver and passenger backward. This fixes the stop-and-start pull-back that could happen when exploring with a friend farther away.

September 29, 2026 · Take the long way around

A bigger Lantern Town

Lantern Town's canal now winds through Indigo Market, Moonwillow Lake, Clockwork Harbor, Cloudspring Bathhouses and Southwater Festival. Follow the water past timber shopfronts, a giant willow, the clock tower and lantern-lit bridges, or walk up to Spirit Orchard. The boat's full loop is about 1.3 kilometres, with time to linger at every stop.

Hop aboard, then choose your next stop

All 17 scenic vehicles now make landmark circuits. Walk to a stopped boat, bus, train or other tour vehicle and choose Board, then Start tour. At each landmark, the vehicle waits until someone aboard chooses the next stop. These tours need no fare or assigned seat; you can still walk around and jump off freely.

Seoul's yellow city-tour bus has an open upper deck, reachable internal stairs and transparent windows. A small moving chevron points toward your next destination while travelling; yellow buttons return when it is time to choose another stop. Standing passengers also stay with their vehicle when rendering briefly pauses.

Find your world faster

Menu → Destinations puts your current world first. Small link icons beside Travel copy a world invitation without adding an extra row.

September 29, 2026 · More ways to ride together

Open Menu → Vehicles for four free new ways to explore:

Friends can board stopped shared rides nearby and take the controls when the driver steps away. The ATV, cart and tandem have new shapes inspired by the owner's vehicle references. These rides need no coins or Premium membership.

September 29, 2026 · A little language, a book of stamps

Learn a phrase, try it around town

Open Menu → Learn for free beginner Japanese and Korean lessons. You can also choose Learn languages before joining a world. Build sentences, match meanings and listen to prepared voices, with pronunciation guides, unlimited retries and hints. Speaker controls play at an easier pace, with an extra-slow option.

Bring home a stamp

Seoul and Akihabara each have 36 stamps: 30 permanent stops and six returning popups. Open Menu → Stamp Book to opt in, find a stop and build the reply to its shopkeeper. Your first correct visit presses a new stamp into your book. Practice from the book whenever you like; collecting the stamp means visiting the location.

Popups stay for eight minutes and return later. Start your encounter before one closes and finish at your own pace. No answer timer, purchase or penalty for missing a visit. Sign in to carry learning progress between devices; guest progress stays on your device.

Practice with a purpose

Optional Learn → AI Practice offers practical Japanese and Korean roleplays with a clear goal. Voice and typed practice show their credit costs and use your own signed-in account. Prepared lessons and stamps stay free. Open-ended AI conversations with world residents have retired.

Less menu, more town

The world menu now groups its main activities in a compact icon grid, with Learn and Stamp Book a tap away. Clear shopkeeper and reply sections, word meanings, visible feedback and little celebrations help each exercise feel easier to follow.

The old missions, coins, shop unlocks and souvenir purchases have retired. Vehicles no longer need coin unlocks; their separate Free/Premium access rules still apply. Your worlds, creations, outfits and unrelated collections remain.

September 29, 2026 · Room for your friends

Pick a ride, bring company

Find the free Motorcycle sidecar, Canal launch, Swan Boat and Hot-air balloon in Menu → Vehicles. The sidecar carries two; the launch, Swan Boat and balloon carry four, including the driver. Several familiar road vehicles and the Canal boat/Gondola now carry friends too. Existing driver unlocks still apply; passengers ride free.

Walk up and press E / controller X to board, or use the Board button. Passengers can look around freely and take the controls when the driver steps away. Boats launch near or in water in every destination, wherever the hull fits—no special dock required.

A little room to roam above town

The balloon basket is a moving floor: jump in, walk around, jump about and face your friends. Use Take controls to fly and Release controls to stretch your legs again. E / controller X handles both. Jumping over the rim lets you leave the basket.

Easier to choose, nicer to drive

A friendly Ghost and a fresh photo strip

For worlds with Premium access, Ghost joins the Character picker: float up, drift down and hover in place. Its Controls option lets you choose whether to pass through scenery.

Purikura now has a photo-decorating workbench with 15 poses, 12 illustrated backdrops and 24 stickers. Arrange your three photos, add finishing touches and save the strip as a PNG. Everyone keeps their natural character size.

September 28, 2026 · The sounds you chose

Your sound picks are now in the world. Listen for new distant thunder and sheltered rain, softer birds and footsteps, distinct vehicle sounds, and sharper moments in Combat Playground. Golf has a new mallet strike, and the photo booth has a new finishing sound.

Sounds you chose to keep are still there. The sounds marked “Neither” stay as they were while we look for better options.

September 28, 2026 · Dismount and drop in

Leaving a flying vehicle midair now lets you fall from where you are, instead of returning you to the beginning. Steer your fall onto the ground, a giant or a passing boat. This works with Jet Packs, Stealth Jets, helicopters, flying cars, brooms, carpets and created aircraft. Sky-island return rides and boat exits still work as before.

September 28, 2026 · Catch a ride, meet a giant

Land wherever adventure takes you

Seventeen scenic vehicles now cruise continuously through the worlds. Land on a passing boat, bus or train, walk around, and jump off when you like. There are no boarding queues or assigned seats. Lantern Town keeps its canal shuttle; the Town Bus and guided tours are gone.

Twenty-four larger-than-life neighbors

Meet four original giants in each regional destination, from Venice’s Winged Lion to Okinawa’s Shīsā and Edo’s Neon Kitsune. Lantern Town welcomes all 24. Hosts can choose one in Menu → World Surprises. Fly onto their heads, shoulders or backs and stand on the creatures themselves. No special chairs required.

A few more reasons to explore

September 27, 2026 · Friends stay on the map

Your map now keeps the right friend count and blue location markers while you explore together.

September 27, 2026 · The worlds wake up

A different sky for every destination

Clouds drift past the sun, stars appear after dark, and mist, rain or seasonal snow can change the mood. Each destination follows its own local day and weather, shared by everyone visiting it. Okinawa keeps its tropical climate; Lantern Town follows UTC.

Watch the neighborhood go by

Gondolas, trains, excursion boats and other scenic vehicles bring movement to the neighborhoods. Updated September 28: these services now cruise continuously and let you land directly on them; the Town Bus has been removed.

More neighbors stroll through the districts, birds cross the sky, cats explore the streets, and sea turtles rest or swim along Okinawa’s shore. Even an ordinary walk has more company.

September 27, 2026 · New sounds around town

The UFO Catchers on GiGO 2F now whirr and click as the claw moves, grabs and drops a prize. Vehicles have their own sounds, from helicopter rotors and tank tracks to carriage wheels and hooves. Listen for a soft breeze while exploring and a tire squeal on a sharp turn.

Combat Playground has new sounds for swings, hits, shields, lasers, grapples and more. Your sound settings still control the mix.

We retired the older inactive basketball, bowling, hockey, merge and drum rounds. The Games menu now focuses on Combat Playground, Secret Tag, Photo Challenge and Golf. UFO Catchers and Purikura remain in GiGO, and past results and earned toys stay saved.

September 27, 2026 · A crowd around the dance floor

Watch your friends find their rhythm

At Akihabara’s GiGO, 1F, stand near a Dance Together pair to see the dancers and their song display. Choose Watch for both players’ live arrows, grades and combos. You can join mid-song or follow a shared Watch link without taking a player’s pad.

Pick a record, start a streak

Rotate through all nine records with short music previews. Songs save in your browser when storage is available, making return visits quicker. The ready controls are clearer, grades replace accuracy percentages, and your combo appears from the first scoring step.

Choose a front or back view of the whole dance pad. The cabinet now displays the song title and moving visuals, while cats, penguins, robots and dragons have improved steps. Crowd cheers celebrate strong streaks and quiet down when your life bar reaches Danger. Adjust their volume in Controls & timing.

New timing profiles start at −110 ms input correction and +70 ms visual adjustment; your existing saved settings stay yours.

September 27, 2026 · The town keeps its tune

Welcome back to the soundtrack

Music and town sounds now recover more reliably when you return to your tab. Brief loading hiccups and browser sound compatibility are less likely to leave your visit quiet. Your volume and mute choices stay yours.

Little letters from a town that keeps finding new ways to play.

September 27, 2026 · A better-connected dragon

Western Dragon’s back scales now sit snugly against its body, and its legs meet the hips with a smoother, rounded connection. Ready for another stomp around town.

Western Dragon keeps its existing Premium access requirement.

September 27, 2026 · A new stop: Cyberpunk Edo

Tiled roofs, noodle shops and lantern streets

Choose Menu → Destinations → Cyberpunk Edo to explore Kabukicho’s food lanes, descend into Yoshiwara’s lantern galleries, visit the Shinsengumi grounds and dojo quarter, or wander toward the distant terminal. Meet new neighbors, stop by the common house, and take a ride through the streets.

Lantern Town is still home. New worlds begin there as before, and your existing saved places remain yours. Travel between the two whenever you like.

September 27, 2026 · Find your rhythm, keep a memory

Every body has a dance move

Bring your chosen character onto the Dance Together pads on GiGO 1F. Cats and dogs step with their paws, birds waddle, robots stomp, and Narwhals make do with flippers. Your dance partner sees your chosen character too.

Gentle motion keeps the moves smaller. Pick your traveler before entering, then head to the dance floor.

Meet me right here

Send a friend straight to a favorite world or a named place. Choose Menu → Destinations → Copy world link, or open the map and choose Copy place link beside a stop. Copying keeps you where you are.

During a shared visit, the link includes your current world. Friends choose Join World before arriving at the linked place. A link without a shared visit opens a solo wander straight away.

Try the UFO Catchers on GiGO 2F, or copy a link to either first-floor dance pair or third-floor Purikura. Earlier first-floor catcher links now lead upstairs with a notice.

Four pads, nine songs

Dance Together is now on GiGO Game Center’s first floor in Akihabara. Two pairs of dance pads let two rounds run side by side. Choose from nine songs and five levels: Beginner, Light, Standard, Heavy and Challenge.

Walk up to a pair and press E on keyboard, X on a controller, or tap the prompt. Play alone, or have a friend in your world use the same pair. The first player chooses the song; each dancer picks a difficulty and gets ready. Follow the glowing arrows with your keyboard, controller or screen controls.

Your world music and sound effects pause while you play, then return when you step back into GiGO. Upstairs, the UFO Catchers await on 2F, with Purikura photos on 3F.

Three floors, one more try

Step inside GiGO Game Center in Electric Town of Akihabara. Play the UFO Catchers on the second floor, walk around each machine to line up your aim, then follow the stairs to Purikura on the third floor and save a photo strip.

The games are free. Nearby catchers now show a gold Play button: press U on keyboard or Y on a controller. E / X stays available for picking up a toy. Round arrow buttons light up when ready, and the wider claw returns smoothly to its starting corner. Caught toys join the collection for that world.

Little moments, printed your way

Free Photo Mode has smaller controls that leave more of the world in view. Open Menu → Photo Mode to frame your traveler, choose a pose or expression, and soften the background with Lens blur. On a keyboard, press P while exploring to capture the view straight away.

After the shutter, try film-inspired looks from the preview strip and choose a little print softness. Save a Polaroid with an optional handwritten note, or pick Frameless. Tap Draw to mark anywhere on the picture or border with nine inks, including white, metallic bronze and metallic silver. Undo and Clear give doodles a second chance.

Save photo downloads the finished picture to your device. Your traveler’s saved look stays the same.

September 26, 2026 · Take the long way round

A brighter Electric Town

Electric Town of Akihabara has been rebuilt around its station, railway lines, electronics lanes and the Kanda River. Find familiar shop fronts, climb toward retro games, or cross the river to the brick arches.

Look up: 80 different billboard artworks fill the district with anime, game and Gundam-inspired scenes, Japanese idol portraits and colorful café photos. Stacked signs have visible lamps, while shop windows and streetlights brighten the evening walk.

Choose Menu → Destinations → Electric Town of Akihabara. Returning visits arrive safely in the new layout, with belongings and saved creations kept intact.

Say hello like a local

For worlds with live conversation access, neighbors start in Korean in Seoul, Japanese in Japan, French in Paris and Italian in Venice. Speak English to switch languages, with English delivery shaped by each neighbor’s home language and comfort speaking English. Lantern town keeps its mix of languages. In Okinawa, neighbors use a gentle regional cadence with mostly standard Japanese and only occasional, briefly explained local expressions.

More neighbors are ready to talk in Paris and Okinawa. Open a conversation’s Settings to choose a language, practice mode and level. This browser remembers your choices for each destination, including through future world updates.

Your earlier worlds are welcome back

Older saved worlds now open from their existing invitation links again, with saved places and items kept in the world. Refresh the page, then use your usual world link to rejoin.

Okinawa, along the Yomitan coast

Choose Menu → Destinations → Okinawa, Japan to explore one connected coastline: Toya harbor streets, Nirai’s reef cove, Cape Zanpa’s lighthouse, Zakimi’s hilltop ruins, pottery lanes and Toguchi’s shore. Follow red-tile roofs and stone walls inland, or take the long beach route. Seven named map stops help you find your way.

Ground paths and ocean water now stay visually steady, including at street junctions and reef edges. Returning visits from the old layout arrive safely in Toya, with your belongings kept intact.

Paris, from the Seine to Versailles

Choose Menu → Destinations → Paris, France for one connected world of riverbanks, historic islands, neighborhood streets and hilltop views. Versailles and La Défense are part of the same world: walk there, or board a free shared train at Invalides or Étoile. Friends choose their own seats and travel together.

Open the map for 44 named places and optional history notes with sources. Find a café square, cross the Seine, or follow the long garden view at Versailles. Paris shares the changing day, night and weather with your friends.

Venice and Seoul are open

Venice, Italy brings canal neighborhoods, Murano and Burano, with seven free gondola docks for exploring the lagoon. Visit residents and shops, try local activities, or take a postcard along the way.

Seoul, Korea joins shopping streets, a city stream, palace gardens, hanok lanes and a tall library atrium. Use local transit to explore its districts. Seoul replaces standalone Bukchon in Destinations; returning visits to the retired world recover in Lantern Town with belongings intact.

More streets in Akihabara

Electric Town of Akihabara has expanded shopping districts, enterable shops, a shrine courtyard and a river promenade with bridges and a swimming exit. Find new errands, residents and photo stops as you explore.

These destinations and ordinary travel are free to explore from Menu → Destinations.

September 25, 2026 · Stay where you are

When a friend steps off a vehicle, their character should appear again beside their name. At the edge of a destination, you now stop and can travel along the boundary instead of returning to the arrival point.

Switching from one flying vehicle to another keeps you in the air where you were. Choose a ground vehicle up there and it falls from that spot. If a shared visit pauses after inactivity, rejoining keeps your last place in the world.

September 25, 2026 · A wider Okinawa

From reef shore to city street

Travel to Okinawa, Japan from Menu → Destinations. Follow the curved sand and turquoise lagoon past the white resort and red-roof castle, then head inland to palm-lined Naha shop streets and quieter lanes of red-tile homes. The coast, wooded horizon and city now continue beyond the paths you can walk.

Okinawa shares Lantern Town’s changing day and night and weather. Watch the light shift over the reef, or catch an island shower as you explore. Your familiar routes, swimming, residents and shared activities are still here.

September 25, 2026 · Electric Town is open

Electric Town of Akihabara is open

Travel to Electric Town of Akihabara from Menu → Destinations. Follow the green railway into a boulevard of tall storefronts, bright illustrated signs, side streets and arcade lights. The city continues across the horizon, even where the walking route turns back.

Meet local residents, visit four souvenir shops, finish three exploration errands, and try Circuit Chase, Street Lens, the Pixel Arcade photo booth and Combat Playground with friends. The familiar game rules and coin balance travel with you.

A change to the travel map

Neo Tokyo has closed and is no longer a travel destination. If your saved visit was there, you’ll arrive safely in Lantern Town; your coins, purchases and collected rewards stay with you. Electric Town is a separate place to explore.

Fresh ideas for imagined Worlds

For worlds with active private-test access, Personalize → World now gives future creations more guidance on silhouette, structural depth, surface detail and how they meet the ground. Your own requested setting, materials and colors still lead the design.

A more playful place to make things

Style, Toys, World and the game menus now share softer panels, clearer choices and roomier controls. In Personalize → Style, you can change your look while your world stays visible behind the studio and your visit stays connected. Wardrobe cards show small category labels, so mixed collections are easier to browse.

Personalize → World opens the creation studio from wherever you are in your shared world. New places still join the Lantern Town path.

The journey looks like yours

Travel now has a warm ticket-like action and a little 3D airplane that carries your current character between destinations. It brings along equipped pieces when they fit the traveler. The destination keeps getting ready while the journey plays, and you can still skip ahead.

September 24, 2026 · Take the high road

Lantern Town’s market has two enterable hideouts, new jump and boost pads, and cover that breaks for everyone during friendly battles. The routes are there to explore between rounds, too.

Grapple through Town

Join Combat Playground and press G or the Grapple control to hook a reachable physical surface. The pull carries you through the air; catch a wall just below a roof to climb over its edge. A missed hook shoots out and falls short so you can see what happened. Grapple is unlimited, with a short pause between launches.

More ways to play the field

Cover raises a temporary shield for your lane, and Mine guards a nearby route. Try Grapple, Cover and Mine while friends gather; practice Cover and Mines clear when the battle starts. A Sword reaches farther, swings sooner, can swat aside a frontal Laser or Missile, and lunges when you attack on the run. After a hit, your character flickers through a brief chance to escape before another blow can land.

Battles are still opt-in and nonlethal. Find them in Menu → Games → Combat Playground in Lantern Town.

September 24, 2026 · Lighter views, easier controls and new looks

A better fit for imagined outfits

In private-test worlds, new outfits made through Personalize → Style now give paired sleeves, cuffs and legwear more consistent coverage. Owl outfits leave wings free, and leather aprons follow the body more closely. The looks in the review gallery are examples for feedback; they have not been added to your wardrobe.

A steadier touch

The mobile steering wheel returns to center when a touch ends, including interrupted touches. Flying characters and vehicles now show when to hold Jump to fly. Game taps no longer zoom the page or select stray text.

Conversations now wait until you’re close to a town resident, even when flying overhead.

Fresh sound settings start World & Weather at 15%; your saved sound choice stays yours. In a saved world, its owner can appoint a Moderator in Account & My worlds → World controls to help run shared music, surprises and games.

A lighter view on mobile

On phones and tablets, lighter graphics now start automatically to give your world more breathing room. Choose fuller graphics in Menu → Settings whenever you like; your choice will be remembered. Photos still save at their usual size, and a Photo Challenge picture stays ready to save when everyone finishes.

New looks for the road and wardrobe

Vehicles have fresh shapes and motion in Menu → Vehicles. Look for the carriage's white horse, a carpet that ripples as it flies, a smaller Town Bicycle, and new looks for the helicopter, motorcycle, Kago and futuristic rides. Free and Premium access works as before; Premium rides still need an active creator membership.

Imagine a little more

For worlds with active private-test access, Personalize → Style, Toys and World now uses the selected new generation models. Outfit headgear gets more specific guidance for hoods, helmets, astronaut glass, chef hats and small hair clips. A butterfly clip was used to improve future creations; it has not been added as a saved item. The separate High Quality outfit choice is gone.

Credits now follow roughly one credit per cent of the upper estimated generation cost, with a minimum of one: chat, simple style and items cost 1 credit; outfits cost 2; World creations cost 18. Your existing balance stays the same. Membership checkout remains closed during private testing.

September 23, 2026 · Look up—company is coming

World Surprises are here across all five destinations, free for everyone in the world. Hosts can choose their favorites in Menu → World Surprises, set Lively (every eight minutes) or Relaxed (about every 24 minutes), or press Surprise us now to swap the current surprise for the next one.

Big visitors, solid footsteps

Garden Capybara, Lantern Tanuki, Mushroom Keeper and Coral Crab take turns visiting different parts of the map. You can land on their solid bodies or find the boarding ring for a ride. Buildings tumble into temporary rubble and rebuild afterward; the Arcade stays protected.

Ten stars, ten saucers

UFO Inspection brings ten roaming saucers with wide tractor beams. Float up for a photo, invite a friend into the dangling chain, and break free whenever you like.

Star Rush scatters at least ten stars with golden sky beacons. Touch one for five minutes of faster running and higher jumping.

All aboard the Cloud Whale

Cloud Whale takes off as soon as everyone in its destination boards, or after forty seconds. There are eight riding spots, and nearby flyers can hop aboard during its sky tour.

Keep the funny moments

Open Photo Mode to orbit the camera, adjust framing, choose a pose and expression, and save a photo. It starts from your current view so you can find your own angle.

September 21, 2026 · A little magic, a lot more play

Three new Premium vehicles await in Menu → Vehicles: a rounded Helicopter, a tracked Tank, and a pumpkin-shaped Magical Carriage with golden wheels. Premium rides require a world with active creator membership. The Stealth Jet now flies three times as fast as the Flying Car and hides its rider from other players’ maps while aboard.

Make yourself at home

Open Personalize → Character to switch companions directly. More fur, feather and body colors, clearer color controls, and better-fitting wardrobe accessories help each character find their look. You can change wardrobe items while riding, too. The old cat-only rainwear controls have retired.

Less clutter, more play

Object actions have smaller shortcut keys and a visual throw-power gauge. Starting a game puts down held objects. Photo Challenge now has an F shutter shortcut, an End challenge button, and a panel that closes when the sighting ends.

Combat setup and weapon selection are tidier, with a joined-player count during warm-up. Secret Tag chasers move 15% faster. Flying creatures drift gently without directional input and glide at full speed when steered.

Around the arcade

The arcade fits more comfortably into its neighborhood, with a solid roof and visible indoor ceiling. Each of its three UFO Catchers carries a different assortment; empty cabinets refill with toys unlocked in your world. Once everything is unlocked, the mix stays a surprise.

September 21, 2026 · Three chances at a little joy

Komorebi Arcade now has three UFO Catchers, spaced apart so friends can play at the same time. Purikura faces into the room, and the old claw-game wall lettering has been tidied away.

Destinations is simpler to browse, with just place names, friends and travel controls. In Vehicles, free rides come first and Premium rides sit together at the end.

September 21, 2026 · Your ride comes along

Open Menu → Vehicles to bring out a ride across destinations and sky lands. The new Jet Pack is free—a little lift for your next adventure.

Flying Car and the new Stealth Jet are Premium, available in worlds with active creator membership. Canal boats still depart from Lantern Town docks. Land before bringing out a vehicle; dismounting in midair returns you safely to your current destination.

September 21, 2026 · More room to play

Komorebi Arcade now has four times the floor space, with room between the UFO catcher, photo booth and walls to find your angle and move freely. There’s space for future games, too.

Photo challenges finish as soon as everyone taking part has their shot, with an announcement for the whole world. Your photo stays ready to save. Choosing another game puts your previous activity away; world hosts can replace a shared game by starting a new one.

September 21, 2026 · Friends on the map

Map & friends now travels with you to every destination. See nearby friends, open the larger map, find yourself or return to the starting point. Clearer Go nearby buttons make meeting up easier.

Back in Lantern Town, Places to go scrolls on its own, keeping your map in place while you browse.

September 21, 2026 · Your outfit, your colors

Wearing a custom outfit? Clothing color → Custom keeps its original palette. Choose another color to try a new shade, then return to Custom anytime.

September 20, 2026 · Keep imagining

For worlds with active private-test access, toys, outfits, new places and resident chats now use your remaining shared AI credits without an extra request-count limit. An old attempt history no longer stops a new idea. Existing worlds pick up the change without a new code.

September 20, 2026 · More places, longer walks

Open Menu → Destinations to visit Okinawa, Japan, Bukchon Hanok Village and Paris, France. Follow red-roof village lanes to Okinawa’s lagoon, wander past hanok courtyards, or meet beside Paris’s café boulevard and tower.

All three destinations and Neo Tokyo now have larger connected neighborhoods, gardens, street signs and more strolling residents. Skylines and wooded hills stretch beyond the streets. Take the long way—there’s company along the route.

September 20, 2026 · Welcome to Combat Playground

Open Menu → Games → Combat Playground for free for all, team battles or a shared beacon defense against UFOs. Play in your current destination with willing participants. Hosts choose the time and winning score, with five minutes on the clock by default.

Friends already in the world, and those arriving later, see event notices. Warm up while waiting, then watch the countdown as the lobby steps aside. HP bars beneath other players’ names help you follow the action.

Swing an energy sword, fire a laser, launch homing missiles or charge a beam cannon. Left click attacks and right click shields; use F/Q and 1–4 on keyboard, or X/B/Y on a controller. Sword swings, weapon effects and varied UFO approaches bring more life to each battle.

September 20, 2026 · A new stop and a lighter menu

Find Destinations in the menu to visit Neo Tokyo together or wander separately. Its neon streets now have pavement, crossings, signs, storefront details and ambient residents. A little airplane carries the loading screen between stops.

Roughhousing is an on/off switch in Settings. Golf cups and flags appear when you bring out your ball and disappear when you put it away. Menus and battle controls are more compact, with clearer buttons and shortcut badges.

September 19, 2026 · The town is your fairway

Open Menu → Games → Golf, bring out a ball, and play through town with friends. Walk up to your ball and press E to take a shot. Aim by dragging or using the arrow keys, then press Space to start your swing, set power and time the hit.

Shots begin aimed toward the nearest cup, and your golfer turns with your aim. The camera follows every bounce until the ball rests. Tall gold flags mark the cups, and a sky beacon helps you find your ball at night.

Buildings become translucent when they block your golf view, but stay solid for the ball. No rounds to wait for—swing, chase, repeat. Refresh to pick up the update.

September 19, 2026 · A little wonder in the lens

Open Menu → Games → Photo challenge to invite a hidden spirit out for a three-minute sighting. Everyone can find their own angle and take a photo without waiting for anyone else. Save your shot as a PNG on your device.

Nine creatures are waiting: three in town and two on each sky island. Start a challenge where you are to meet a local spirit. A portrait and clue show you what to look for, and the closer shoulder view keeps your character visible holding the camera.

Refresh the game to pick up the update. Photos stay in your current visit until you save them; there’s no account album yet.

September 19, 2026 · Pick your tune

Tap the vinyl to choose any of the 26 songs or either shuffle mix. Hosts can change the shared soundtrack; guests can pick music just for themselves.

Next track and Mute have clearer buttons and familiar icons. The record player stays at hand, and dropdowns have white backgrounds with more room around the arrow.

Refresh your game to pick up the update.

September 19, 2026 · Step into the arcade

Komorebi Arcade is bigger, brighter and open to walk inside. Approach the UFO Catcher or Purikura machine to play—no game-picker screen at the door.

The claw cabinet holds six distinct toys from your collection. Friends can watch the grab live, and you can walk around to find your angle without losing your turn. Locking your aim no longer jumps the claw. Take out your prize, and it disappears from the chute. Unlocked toys belong to the world you earned them in.

Air hockey, Basketball toss, Melon Merge and Tabletop bowling have retired. Their toy prizes are now available through Purikura; existing unlocks stay yours in that world.

A little chase around town

Open Menu → Games → Secret tag for a three-minute round in the town you're already sharing. Everyone present is included, nobody is eliminated, and the secret tagger passes the role by getting close to a friend.

The town menu now opens as a compact dropdown for Games, Controls and Settings. Membership details are easier to scan, with AI usage explained in credits. Refresh your game to pick up the update.

September 18, 2026 · Clear skies ahead

Flying rides now hover above rivers, lakes and ponds. The mountains stay beyond town as you fly, with countryside beneath the distant scenery. Brooms belong in the sky.

Music and town sounds wait until you have entered your world, and pause while reconnecting. Refresh your game to pick up these fixes.

September 18, 2026 · One click home

Open My World now takes signed-in travelers straight into their saved town, without asking them to open it again. Refresh your game to pick up the fix.

September 18, 2026 · Every song is yours

All 26 songs are now free. Open Settings → Soundtrack to shuffle every song, shuffle just the instrumentals, or choose a favorite. Friends following the host stay on the same tune.

Menus have less text and tidier spacing, with titles and close controls that stay in view as you scroll. Everyday audio controls are together; extra controls live under More sound options.

The temporary-world clock now sits beneath the town title. Tap it to open Membership.

New temporary worlds last four hours. The Join screen now welcomes you into any world, including your own. Existing worlds keep their original deadlines.

Refresh an open game to get the new menus and shared shuffle.

September 17, 2026 · A town you can hear

Footsteps follow your stroll across paving, grass and wooden bridges, with a softer little thump when you jump. Birds and nighttime insects stay in the background, while nearby water, swimming and rain add a little life to the scenery.

Bicycles roll and freewheel, boats lap and leave a wake, and flying rides carry a gentle rush of air. Cars and taxis now have a quiet engine, with a separate rumble for motorcycles. These sounds accompany rides you already have access to.

Find Settings → Audio → Sound categories to adjust World & weather, Character movement and Vehicles. Refresh an open game to hear the update.

September 17, 2026 · Your town, just underneath

The home button now simply says Resume, with your saved town’s name tucked underneath in smaller text. A little less reading before the wandering.

September 17, 2026 · Pick your path into town

Create, Join or Resume: three little tabs make it easier to find your world. Invitation links open Join, signed-in travelers start on Resume, and new visitors start on Create. Joining a friend now waits for your Join World confirmation—even if this browser remembers your name.

Temporary worlds have a ticking countdown showing how much of their 24-hour visit remains. Tap it for the current retention details. Paid retention is not available yet; account-owned preview worlds have no automatic expiry.

Phone controls have more elbow room: Personalize sits beside Menu with readable dark text, Down/Run/Jump share a row, the quiet outline Controls button sits above Jump, and the record player clears the movement stick. Back also reaches the right edge when there’s no Close button.

Refresh an already-open game to pick up the changes.

September 17, 2026 · Places above the clouds

Three little places have taken to the sky: Windbell Orchard, Lantern Haven and Cloudkeep Garden. Fly up with a flying creature or a free flying ride, land, and wander through the gardens, lantern lanes and old keep. No unlocks required.

After exploring, visit the island’s landing dock to collect your arriving ride if it is still available, or return to town for free. Friends can gather near you up there, too. The orchard has excellent overhead views.

Refresh an already-open game to see the new sky lands.

September 17, 2026 · Your town, your volume

Find Audio in Settings to balance music, NPC voices and game effects just for you. Mute everything with one button, preview a listening level, or reset your mix. Your choices stay saved on this browser, and the soundtrack stays in sync with your friends.

Transformation music now follows Music volume. Extra sound-category controls are ready for the town’s next soundscape; new footsteps, weather and vehicle recordings are still on their way.

September 17, 2026 · Hold onto your hat ✨

A little more comfort for the journey:

September 17, 2026 · Take the scenic route 🧹

The Vehicle Shop has fresh ways to wander: a town bicycle, updated cars and motorcycle, a witch’s broom, a magic carpet, and a jinrikisha with a running helper. All currently available rides are free.

Explore the connected Eastbank canal by boat. Board at Market landing, Boatyard or Willow garden, then take a leisurely loop through town.

A smoother ride

Vehicles build speed gradually, boats coast gently, and flight eases into climbs and descents. Hold Jump to take off on flying rides or flying creatures. Hold Jump while moving on a bicycle or motorcycle to wheelie; in ground cars, hold it to brake and steer to drift.

Dismount wherever you are with the on-screen hint, E or controller X. Boats return you to a landing, and airborne rides bring you safely back to land. Creature seating now follows belly and hip shapes, keeping everyone their usual size.

Settle in sooner

The menu appears while the world prepares behind the scenes. Vehicle riding runs more smoothly, clothing follows character movement more closely, and the controller icon opens a guide for keyboard, controller and touch controls.

September 16, 2026 · Back to everyday threads 👕

Wearing an imagined outfit? Clothing now shows Custom. Choose Jeans & shirt or Tee & skirt to switch back. Your creation stays in Your wardrobe, ready for its next outing.

September 16, 2026 · A little bow on top 🎀

Outfit headbands, frills and bows now sit on your hair instead of disappearing inside it. Existing outfits get the fit automatically—no need to Imagine them again. The maid café is ready for its close-up.

September 16, 2026 · A shirt that waves with you 👋

Shirts and sleeved outfits now bend as connected fabric from chest to cuff, replacing the visible shoulder patches. Collars, cuffs and favorite outfit details keep their character. Give your neighbors a wave—your shirt can follow along.

September 16, 2026 · Softer cloth, snug shoulders 🧵

Shirts and sleeved outfits now keep shoulders covered while you walk, run and wave. Sleeveless and intentionally open-shoulder styles keep their original look.

Clothing keeps soft wrinkles, with the busy woven texture removed to reduce shimmer as the camera moves. A calmer look for your next town stroll.

September 16, 2026 · A new front door 🏡

Our official address is now www.somewheretogether.world. Old links bring you to the new front door, with their room invitations intact.

You may need to sign in again. Browser-local saves and preferences stay with the address where they were created; saved account worlds remain tied to your account.

September 16, 2026 · Six new faces, fresh threads 🎀

Six new neighbors are out for a stroll: two seifuku students, a maid-café worker, a kimono enthusiast, a Sailor Venus cosplayer and a Lolita fashion fan. Each has their own hairstyle, outfit and conversation personality. Say hello when you cross paths; AI conversations retain their existing access and credit requirements.

Our Samurai, Geisha, Ninja, Merchant and Machi-musume have fresh outfits too. Town is dressing for the occasion.

September 16, 2026 · Room to paddle underneath 🌉

The garden bridges are taller and wider, with longer stairs and room to swim beneath. Lotus pond has a raised crossing too, and its outlet is open for a proper paddle through the canals.

Swimming toward a bridge no longer pulls you onto its deck. Shore assistance waits until a bank blocks your way, and helps you climb onto dry land. Minimap → Return to start is still ready if you need it.

September 16, 2026 · A gentler way ashore 🌿

Climbing out of ponds now eases you up and onto the bank, without the sudden hop. Settling back into the water is smoother, too. Keep swimming toward the edge and use Jump for higher banks.

Minimap → Return to start is still there whenever you need a quick rescue.

September 16, 2026 · A way back to dry land 🛟

Pond edges and low bridges are easier to climb out onto. Swim toward the bank, and use Jump for the higher edges.

Stuck somewhere? Open the Minimap → Return to start to warp to the town’s starting point. The large map has the same button. It works in solo and shared play, even while reconnecting—your return syncs when the connection comes back. Your character, outfit and progress stay with you. No ticket required for this rescue boat.

September 16, 2026 · Long locks and little splashes 🌊

A little more hair drama

Human has six new hairstyles in Personalize → Style → Colors & details: hip-length straight and waves, spiral twin tails, ribbon twists, a crescent ponytail and Starfall layers. That makes 36 cuts to try. Bring your own dramatic breeze.

Back on dry land

Travelers step out of the water onto the paving instead of staying sunk into it. Upright swimmers—including Penguin—lean into their paddle, and running picks up the pace of their feet. Humans and cats can climb more slanted walls and rooftop edges; enclosed ceilings can still block the way.

Your corner soundtrack

The little record player appears by default, with the song name centered beside it when you hover. Already hidden yours? We remember. You can bring it back in Settings → Show record player.

September 16, 2026 · The right outfit for every traveler 👗

Style now shows costumes made for the character you’re browsing. Switch to Cat and Human-only outfits step out of the way; switch back to Human and they return. Hats, collars and other shared accessories stay close at paw—or hand.

Your saved costumes have not been removed. Open Personalize → Style → Switch Character to browse each traveler’s fitted wardrobe.

September 15, 2026 · Everyday outfits, rooftop detours and open skies ☁️

A little everyday tailoring

Human’s wardrobe has fresh fitted clothing, including a simple Jeans & shirt look and a neat A-line Dress. Arms and legs move more smoothly, sleeves cover the shoulders, and walking has a gentler forward lean. Find your favorites in Personalize → Style.

Style puts character switching beside your preview, matches the clothing and hair color palettes, and keeps Close within reach while you scroll. For players with imagination access, the optional High Quality switch costs three times the standard credits; Imagine shows the price before you submit.

Take the roof route

Humans and cats climb at a slower pace, reach upward toward the wall, and work around small roof edges. Wide overhangs can still stop your ascent. The sky has a smaller flock of birds and a distant mountain horizon—more room to enjoy the view.

The garden’s long way round

The Lotus waterway now follows a continuous route through the garden to Sakura Lake, with two timber footbridges and walkers who follow the bridge decks. The bathhouse approach is dry again.

A calmer corner of town

Map, Personalize and Menu share one compact top row, leaving nearby activities their own space. The optional record player is a softly translucent vinyl in the lower-left corner; hover or focus to see the song, or tap for controls.

Starting a visit takes one click after your name. Expired invitations offer a clearer way to start fresh, and joining errors sit beside Resume. Reload to bring the updates into town.

September 15, 2026 · One idea, one creation 🧵

In Style and Toys, retrying after a lost connection now checks the original creation. Matching submissions from separate tabs reuse recent work, and failed attempts stay attached to their original request. Edit your description to start a fresh attempt. Fewer accidental twins in the dressing room.

Reload to pick up the update. Imagination keeps its existing access and credit requirements.

September 15, 2026 · A little more tailoring 🧵

Everyone can swim now! Ordinary travelers paddle slowly, while Narwhal and Emperor Penguin glide ahead. New canals and footbridges connect the western streets, with flowing water and little splashes along the way.

Cloth outfits catch the light with soft folds and wrinkles. Human hats and footwear fit better, and newly imagined kimonos and flowing dresses have more distinct construction. Outfit imagination keeps its existing access and credit requirements.

On wide screens, Style, Toys and World stay within reach. Smaller screens keep a gently glowing Personalize button. Reload to bring the updates into town.

Find them in Personalize → Style → Character models. Cotton Tuft Cat and the original Robot are still here, alongside Owl and Plush Robot. Unicorn and both robots retain their existing premium-character access requirement. Reload to welcome the new crew.

September 14, 2026 · Soft feathers, a new friend 🦉

Owl has a softer new look, and Plush Robot joins the original Robot in Personalize → Style → Character models. Both robots use the existing premium-character access requirement. A little more plush, just as much personality.

September 14, 2026 · Raincoat means raincoat ☔

Typing Raincoat in Style’s Imagine input now creates a full outfit instead of sending you to the older color-style options. For Rabbit, Cotton tuft cat and Corgi, that reaches the fitted hooded rainwear. Reload the game before trying a new request; previously saved looks stay unchanged.

September 14, 2026 · A quicker wardrobe change 🎀

For players with active private-test Imagination access, new human outfits now arrive faster, with smoother shoulder coverage, simpler details and rounded shoes.

September 14, 2026 · Welcome back, Robot 🤖

September 13, 2026 · A warmer welcome home 🏡

Resume now brings signed-in owners back to their saved world, including private-test worlds. If an old visit expires, you return to the same town. Your traveler name is remembered in this browser, whether you sign in or wander anonymously; change it in Start or Account & My worlds.

September 13, 2026 · Four gentle endings, one full record shelf 🎵

Clouds Over the Lake, Snow Between Streetlights, Garden Before Breakfast and The Long Way Home arrive as gentle anime-style songs with light Japanese vocals. The town now has 26 tracks: five free and 21 premium, including 18 instrumentals and eight softly sung songs.

Hosts with active private-test access can share the premium soundtrack with everyone in their world. Find it in Settings → World music, or choose Instrumental only when you want the melodies to do the talking.

September 13, 2026 · More songs for the long way home 🎶

Four softly sung Korean tracks and ten more instrumentals join the town’s soundtrack—from relaxed city-pop to café jazz and rainy-day piano. There are now 22 recordings: five free and 17 premium.

Hosts with active private-test access can share the premium collection with everyone in their world. Want the whole playlist without lyrics? Choose Settings → World music → Instrumental only. Your volume and mute remain personal.

September 13, 2026 · A little vinyl, a few new favorites 🎵

Turn on Show record player in Settings → World music for a spinning record and the current song. It starts tucked away; close it whenever you like and the music keeps playing. Your volume and mute stay yours.

Pocket-Sized Seoul and Lanterns on the River join everyone’s collection, bringing it to five free recordings. Hosts with active private-test access can also share Peach Soda Afternoon, Window Seat to You and Sunday Sneakers with their guests. Choose a song, play through the available collection, or use Instrumental only.

The disc rests when music pauses, buffers or is muted, and respects reduced motion. A little company for the conversation.

September 13, 2026 · Rooftops, wingbeats and a spring in your step 🐾

Cats and humans can now climb buildings: move into a wall while holding Space, controller A, or touch Jump. Keep moving to climb onto the roof; release to drop. Overhangs can still block the way.

Owl is free. Dragon and Robot keep their existing premium access requirements.

September 13, 2026 · Eight toys, ready to play 🍰

Strawberry cake, Ramen bowl, Taiyaki and Melon pan join the original four free toys. You now start with eight unlocked toys, including in existing worlds. The other 70 are arcade prizes; previously earned toys stay unlocked.

Personalize → Toys → Take toy now returns you straight to town. If your hands are full, a quick notice explains what to put down first.

September 13, 2026 · More room for arcade fun 📸

Arcade controls and table options have more room on smaller screens, with fewer overlapping panels. Crane controls sit inside the cabinet view, and Games takes you back to the arcade choices.

Purikura now has 12 border colors and 12 backdrops, including Ocean, Hearts, Lanterns, Snowfall, Citrus and Rainbow. Your chosen border previews around the live booth before the photo is taken. Tiny postcards, extra color.

September 13, 2026 · A better fit, from collar to paws 🐾

Tap an equipped item in Style → Your wardrobe again to take it off. Bell collars now sit at each character’s neck, and footwear fits the model’s paw width and leg height—rain boots no longer disappear inside the dog’s feet.

September 13, 2026 · More than one imagination at a time 🎨

Friends can now imagine toys, accessories and outfits at the same time in one world. Each player can have one creation in progress, so someone else’s hat no longer holds up your next idea. Your world’s permissions and shared AI allowance still apply.

September 13, 2026 · Guests can imagine from the start ✨

All Guest AI permissions now start on in saved worlds without custom settings. Adjust permissions and daily limits in Account & My worlds → World controls. Your shared AI credits and active test access still apply, and existing saved rules stay intact.

September 13, 2026 · Your town, your house rules 🔑

For your saved private-test world, open Account & My worlds → World controls. A little less “who used all the AI credits?”

These controls apply to saved account worlds. Existing temporary worlds keep their current rules.

September 13, 2026 · A town to come back to 🏡

Open Account & My worlds and sign in with a code sent to your email. No password to remember, more room for remembering where you parked the bicycle.

During this preview, saved worlds remain playable after test access ends; AI features need active access. There is no automatic deletion during the preview. Future hosting terms will be announced. Existing temporary worlds and their test codes are not imported—use a fresh account test code in Account & My worlds. Public membership checkout remains closed.

September 13, 2026 · More town, less thumb gymnastics

A little breathing room 🌿

Your phone screen belongs to the town again. The controls are smaller, rounder and a little see-through, so there’s more room for the scenery—and your very good outfit.

The town got dressed up 🏮

Take the long way around. The neighborhood has new shopfronts, balconies, signs and rooftop details, with a refreshed temple, lookout and garden pavilions. Stone lanes, brick streets, café terraces and gravel garden paths give each corner its own feel.

Three fountain plazas and two leafy pergola parks make excellent excuses to stop walking. The new parked bicycles and garden benches are scenery for now—admiring them is the activity.

Claw and order 🧸

The Toys collection now has 78 little things to play with: four starters and 74 arcade prizes.

Solo collections stay in that browser between visits. Shared collections belong to their world and last as long as it does.

An owl has entered the chat 🦉

Meet Owl, a free character with flappy wings and absolutely no appointment to keep. Owl, Dragon and Robot can keep flying up to the town’s height limit; Robot now enjoys sustained rocket flight, too. Flying cars and imagined aircraft can join the rooftop sightseeing.

Find Owl through Personalize → Style → Character models. Dragon and Robot still require premium access.

A place for your “what if?” ✨

For players with active private-test access and creator credits: Personalize → World can imagine an original landmark or a vehicle to drive, sail or fly. Choose a visual idea, change the prompt, and return to saved creations from the same place. Think little dream landmarks and playful vehicles—the town still has its boundaries.

Style and Toys have clearer previews and visual libraries, too. Clothes live in Style; playthings live in Toys. Less rummaging, more trying things on.

Soft edges, clearer directions

Menus have a warm new look, with cream panels, golden buttons and friendlier spacing. The small map follows your neighborhood; the big map has clearer places, zoom and Find me controls.

The welcome screen may greet you with Kyoto, Seoul or France scenery. These are little welcome postcards, not new destinations you can travel to yet.

Chats with townspeople now use a smaller, translucent panel. Open typing, the transcript or settings when you need them, and keep your conversation partner in view.

The tiny-but-helpful corner

Rain no longer gets first dibs on your toy taps. Phone rotation keeps the view fitted to the screen, and Membership’s private-access form now gives clearer progress and error messages.

Want to hear when more visitors can arrive? Find the beta list inside Membership. Public paid plans are still previews; purchases aren’t open yet.

September 12, 2026 · Play a round, strike a pose

Five more reasons to say “one more” 🎟️

Komorebi Arcade has company for the claw machine: Air hockey, Basketball toss, Tabletop bowling, Melon Merge and Purikura. Join in, practice where available, or watch your friends have their moment. Everyone doesn’t have to play the same thing.

The new games also got clearer throws, views and results. Baskets count when the ball arrives, bowling gives the pins time to settle, and little fruit have more personality than they probably need.

Stickers were a very good idea 📸

Purikura brings your actual characters and outfits into three photos. Pick poses and expressions, retake a panel, add stickers, draw together and save the finished strip as a PNG. The Finish button stays within reach while you decorate.

Your wardrobe has an imagination

With active private-test access and creator credits, imagine wearable looks, original outfits, toys and refinements. Preview what you’re making and keep favorites in their library. Cotton tuft cats gained custom colors, playful patterns, raincoats and four tiny rain boots. Yes, all four.

Outfits are fitted to the kind of character they were made for. A cat’s raincoat remains a cat’s raincoat.

A soundtrack for taking the scenic route 🎵

Three recorded town tracks have moved into Settings → World music. The host can choose the shared music, and every visitor keeps their own volume control. Prefer your own selection or a quiet stroll? That’s welcome, too.

Style imagination has its own Moonlit Becoming transformation music. Town music steps aside while the new look takes shape, and softens during conversations with townspeople.
